With the continues changing complexity of stamping products, requirements of customers and the challenge to meet the prices and requested quality level, KeyTec considered that its continuous improvement strategy would be supported by some large step activities.

With the 5S philosophy as basis, the metal stamping area of the automatic presses undertook a complete overhaul, new floor with fixed and clear marked areas for material – products – scrap material, fully organized equipment and peripherals storage and corresponding organisation with registration and checklists.

Recently a customer visited KeyTec and as proud as we are about the metamorphose we showed him the renewed automatic presses area. His remark: “this is too clean and tidy to be a metal stamping area”. We take this as one of the best compliments, motivating the people to continue and even improve their “house” and way of working.
